Job Title: PostgreSQL Developer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated PostgreSQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our database systems. This role requires a deep understanding of PostgreSQL and the ability to optimize database performance, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with software developers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement database solutions to support application development.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and procedures.
• Perform regular database maintenance, including indexing, tuning, and monitoring performance.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless integration of database components with applications.
• Design and implement data models and database schema based on business requirements.
• Identify and resolve database-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Conduct performance tuning and query optimization for existing systems.
• Implement data migration and transformation techniques when necessary.
• Ensure database security and compliance with industry best practices.
• Provide support for database backup, recovery, and archiving processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a PostgreSQL Developer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL and a strong grasp of database fundamentals.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Experience with database design, modeling, and normalization techniques.
• Familiarity with database security and user management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other database technologies and data warehouses is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions and services.
• Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.

Working Conditions:

The position involves working in a collaborative office environment, with opportunities for remote work based on project needs. Occasional weekend or evening work may be required to meet project deadlines or deploy updates outside of business hours.
